Hilt Rapier
Trying to find out Sci-Fi book title?
All that I can remember is one of the protagonists using an energy based sword.
Items:
- It appeared to be just a normal rapier-style hilt until an authorized person held it in their hand
- The hilt contained tiny needles that sampled the users DNA
- Only the nobles of the empire/federation were allowed to carry these swords
- I believe they were only meant to be used as dueling weapons by the aristocracy
Any help would be appreciated
