Gim Sword

What is the best commercial real jian (Chinese sword) on the market?

I’m thinking about buying an actual Chinese straight sword sometime in the near future and I’ve been looking over some options. The problem is that I am a tall person, and my usual blade length is 33 inches, but most cutting blades come around 30 inches or less.

I’ve seen Cold Steel’s Gim which looks pretty good, but their company’s merchandise is so broad that it worries me. I also looked at Hanwei’s Cutting Jian, but it is too short for me. I really cannot use a blade shorter than 30 inches. I also saw some of Zhi Sword’s merchandise, but the small business scares me because I am not totally sure of what my money could be buying.
Note: This is not for normal forms practice, I have an Adam Hsu Jian for that.
Has anyone handled this sword?

I have some of the best Chinese swords detailed here http://www.chinese-swords-guide.com/Real-swords.html Take a look at those. One of my favourite jian is a Zheng Wu blade. Quality can vary from that company though. I have a great one. In the lower price range you couldn’t do better than the new Hanwei Scott Rodell cutting jian. It’s also on the page I linked to.
