Is 1055 carbon steel good for a machete?
My friend sold me a “rambo” machete a few months back back of 1090 carbon steel,now I want another good machete.
So is 1055 carbon good?

Thanks for the info,the rambo machete was my first one so I don’t know much about machetes.
1055 is usually what machetes are made from. That or a close match such as 1060-1065. It needs to be carbon steel to retain an edge but not so hard it breaks under high stress.
