2 Recipes, Mrs. Filed Vanilla cookie frosting and cookies like Homelands?

I’m looking for 2 recipes and have search all over the internet with no luck. The first recipe I’m looking for in Mrs. Fields vanilla cookie frosting, the kinda that food coloring is added to to decorate cookies. I believe that is the best frosting in the world. The 2nd recipe I’m not real sure on the name of the cookies but I think they came from homeland bakery. They are possibly called italian butter cookie. The ones that I ate (at school parties when I was little) always looking like whatever holiday it was. i.e. pink and red hearts for valentines days, little green christmas tress for christmas and so on. These cookies are not sugar cookies. They are thick light and fluffy. I hope there is someone out here in the yahoo answers world to help me, other wise I guess I will have to give up all hope on finding these 2 recipes. Thanks in advance!!!

Does anyone have Mrs. Field’s White Buttercream Frosting recipie?
I have searched ALL over the internet, found buttercream recipies, but I really want one close to the one they use to decorate cookies so I can do the same for my daughters b-day early next month. I do not need the chocolate one- I am looking for the white. Any help out there????

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 cup granulated sugar for decoration
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and stir in the vanilla and almond extract. Combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; blend into the creamed mixture. Cover and chill for at least two hours.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Divide the dough into two parts. On a lightly floured surface, roll each piece of the dough out to 3/16 inch in thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1 1/2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. Sprinkle cookies with plain or colored granulated sugar.
Bake for 8 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

I found this version of her icing in a generic location. I do know that most cookies are decorated with royal icing which is a far different recipe than this. Royal icing it what you commonly find on gingerbread houses.
