Folding Jack

Did you Know in Black Jack you can surrender and it means you forfit half of you wager and you fold your hand?
Can you do this in a casino? I just read online that in Poker you can surrender the hand which means you feel you are defeated so you get to take half of your money back and your hand gets folded? I am going to AC this weekend so I was wondering if you can do that there. Ive never seen it done before. Does it happen after your first card or do you get both cars then decide?? Or can you keep hitting and if you dont bust but dont like your hand you can “surrender?”
Hi Arie,
They don’t let you surrender in A.C. unfortunately 8-(
They do let you surrender at my home casinos Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods and in some Vegas casinos, but on my most recent trip to A.C. none of the casinos would let you surrender there.
They know it is a HUGE advantage for the player. You can surrender after you get your first 2 cards. You must make the decision right then. I love to surrender and 15 or 16 against a dealer’s A, 10 or 9. It saves you half of your bet and gets you out of a losing situation.
One other blackjack tip…Never take insurance! It is a big mistake to take insurance when the dealer is showing an Ace. They offer this option to you because they know that it raises the house advantage from 1-2% up to 4-6%.
I am glad you took some of my other tips. Once again good luck this weekend and have a great time!
