How can i tell if my sword is folded steel?

I bought a double edged katana at ren-fest, but I don’t know how to tell if it is molded steel or folded steel. Any help?

You probably mean “cast” and “forged”, respectively.

Your sword probably was neither cast, nor was it forged. It’s likely that it was precision carved out of a solid steel bar using a robotic cutting machine.
