Survival Knife Compass Problem?

I have a survival knife kit (http://podstt.com/page53/files/survival-knife.jpg) and the compass is broken on it. Does anyone know how to fix it? I think it might be the water in it, but I really don’t know
yeah the water looks low. how would i fix this

Pop the sucker open. Glue back using ‘Goop Marine’ adhesive only.
If the magnet has worn out you can tell by floating it alone inside a bottle cap. ..or it may be low on water.

I made a knife out of a file
