Price/Value of Labrador Purebread Pup’s?
Hi All,
Basically I’m looking into buying Labrador pup’s, but I don’t have a massive amount of experience in this field and am basically wondering what kind of price I should be looking at paying for the puppies?
For purebred the variation goes from about $400 to $1000,
any help appreciated.
Thanks Everyone!!!
Thanks for that will look into that and so some more research. This is the info we have now the 2 pups we are leaning towards are both males; microchiped, vaccinated, come with a certificates, one of the owners said something about genetic tests being done as well. However they are both at totally different sides of the price spectrum. I will try and find out about health and other information.
Cheers.
Advice – price shouldn’t be the only thing to look for. What you want to look for is quality of dog and the property, along with their style of breeding.
Is the female old enough to have pups? How often is she bred? Were any genetic tests done? Do they have family tree to prove health and no history of problems (health or other?) What about the male dog? What about temperament? Champion lines or not?
What about where they keep the dogs? Is it clean? Vet care available? Healthy dogs and puppies? Not too many dogs and puppies?
Things like that can prove a good breeder from a bad one. IF the dog is quality, price shouldn’t matter. If the dog is of good quality and healthy, then you should be happy to pay any price for that dog.
