Dragon Two

Dragon Two
Should i put a baby bearded dragon with two one year old bearded dragon?

I have a 55 gallon tank which is pretty big so I’m just wondering thanks for everyone replies.

Not unless you actually intend for the little one to be a snack for the two bigger beardies.

ADD @ Beths Pets ~ It is completely dependent upon the two older beardies temperaments, the quality of husbandry, etc. In the decade plus that I’ve been doing reptile rescues I’ve fostered and rehabbed entirely too many beardies that were housed with a larger lizard that started cannibilizing them and they were missing chunks (or entire) tails and limbs. We’ve also had several owner-surrendered beardies because the owner was upset/angry/disgusted that the lizard had eaten the little buddy they had just paid good money for.

Carnivorous lizards will kill and consume smaller tank mates due to hunger, stress, aggression, dominance, or territorial issues. It is never a good idea to mix sizes…. For most keepers it’s not a good idea to house multiples together period as they lack the experience and knowledge to do so properly (“What do you mean 4 beardies can’t live together forever in a 55g? Why do you give your beardies such huge enclosures?”).

In addition to all of that, you need to quarantine new reptiles for a significant length of time in their own properly set up enclosures in a different room of the house prior to adding their enclosure to your reptile room anyway. There’s nothing worse than the illness or death of favorite pets because someone was too excited and anxious to throw a new critter into the mix before ensuring it was completely healthy.
