Which is a better knife sharpener?
A dmt 1200 grit mesh diamond whetstone or a Norton 1000/4000 grit waterstone.
(I do not care about which is best price wise, but which is better in quality)
I purchased a knife sharpener from Gander Mountain. It has a rig that clamps on to the knife blade and also has a guide that keeps the stone at a constant angle. The stones are diamond impregnated and last a long time. It takes all the guess work out of sharpening.
The kits start out at about 25 to 30 bucks. It will put a edge on knife that will be razor sharp. Most sporting goods stores carry them.
Its takes a while to get the edge the first time, but after that you can touch one up in a matter of minutes.
