is it ok to import knives to Egypt?

i was always thinking of buying a pocket knife (aka Matwah) from the United States just for its quality design, not for using it against people or something, and i know a trusted website that can ship those products to Egypt but im not sure if Egyptian authorities are going to allow the product to pass the boarders, will they allow it since its from a trusted US company? would i sound suspicious if i call the US embassy here in Cairo and ask them about the possibility of importing a pocket knife?
i really want it badly but i heard that weapon restrictions in Egypt are very harsh -.-
