Deer Skinner

Cold steel mini tac for skinning rabbit?
I need a knife for rabbit skinning because my deer knife is to big. I was wondering if the cold steel mini tac skinner would be a good choice with it’s 3″ and a bit blade
It’ll be alright, granted you know how to use it properly and how to keep it sharp.
It’s made of Aichi AUS8 stainless steel, detailed info here – http://www.zknives.com/knives/steels/aus8.shtml , which is a decent stainless steel for entry level knives, 440C equivalent from Japan. Skinning/hunting knives do need added corrosion resistance and AUS8 provides sufficient levels. Although, if left unattended for longer periods of times, it’ll rust too.
There are better steels and better knives, but for the price mini tac is a good bargain knife.
