Deer Antler Velvet, Run Like A Deer

There are times when things might look less than excellent, but they turn out to have a purpose. Even if that reason is just to find something out. This time that unpleasant spark was an argument between my girlfriend and I. At about 50 degrees outside, and dark, it probably wasn’t the best idea, but good ideas aren’t always what you need when you just have to let off some steam. I set about jogging and dusted off the first block pretty easily. Now when I say “pretty easily”, I really mean it was way too easy for me having not run any miles in quite some time. The only time I ever really ran was in preparation for a fight, or to really cut up, and lately I the only running I’ve been doing has involved my mouth, so this was a surprise to be able to go so this long after that lapse of training.really get in shape for summer time. I clocked my first mile at being sub seven minutes. What’s more surprising, I felt great. I would have finished the next few miles in the same sub seven had I not rolled my ankle on a crack in the sidewalk. I felt like a deer myself at this point. I kept on pushing, through the pain, fueled on adrenaline and deer antler velvet. The velvet seemed to have almost a mythical quality to it at that point. I was amazed that the deer antler velvet was actually as powerful as it had been hyped up to be, and every workout it seemed to amaze me even more.

At the end of my long workout, I hopped into bed feeling relaxed, with an irritated but loving girlfriend, and a swollen, but healing, ankle.

The followingday I was to awaken to a barely swollen ankle. It has been three days since, and the pain is already almost completely gone. This is unheard of and I have never before had a sprain that didn’t at least bother me for a week after the injury. The deer antler velvet must have reduced the inflammation and sped up healing.

I picked up my brother, the one that didn’t really believe deer antler velvet worked, the day after that revealing run. I told him how I not only had the endurance for my run, but enough to go again at the point in which I should have been finished (I finished my 5 mile run then went to my girlfriend’s apartment complex’s gym to do some more cardio and to lift weights. Yes, with a very sprained ankle.) and, to my surprise, this kid that had called the deer antler velvet a placebo was sitting there telling me the exact same thing.
He said his endurance was to the point of being stupid and that he could barely get a good workout in anymore because it was taking so much to exhaust him since he began taking the deer antler velvet. He admitted it worked, and was as excited as me about the idea of something which had a million claims of what it could do, but that could actually back up those claims as well. Deer antler velvet…not quite the placebo I suppose.
