How Many Of You Would Buy Cosplay Weapons.?

Not like “I kill you.” weapons but things from the movies or anime. Like Ichigo’s Zongetsu or Bankai. Or how about The Daywalker Sword and Glaive. Link’s Master Sword and Shield. Or even the sword from Halo? I’m thinking of starting a sword shop or just running one from my house but I need to know just how many people would buy them. And at fair prices as well. Get the Master Sword for $110-$120. Daywalker Sword $60. Halo Sword $80. Nothing crazy, reasonable prices. But before I decided to go and buy things like that I need to find out like I said how many people would buy them. Please and thanks.

As long as they aren’t 100% made out of cardboard or actually made out of metal, since we wouldn’t be able to take them to conventions.

I also think you should make a couple of gun props and bows as well. Making the Master Sword seems fairly easy, so with only swords you’d probably only get newbies who would try to get an entire costume under $100. But with crossbows and more complex things you’d get more costumers. I myself wouldn’t by any of the things you’ve listed, because my current costume choices don’t have swords. But if you had Seras Victoria’s gun/bazooka thing from Hellsing for example, I’d think about it.

You should probably ask this on GaiaOnline in the cosplay section, and then look around on cosplay.com to see if any other prop commissioners there have any tips and to spread your business around if you decide to go with it.

PS: If that goes extremely well and you find you’re great at making about any type of prop weapon, try becoming a commissioner, where people ask you to make a certain weapon.
