Has anyone heard of…?

There is this company called Vector that sells Cutco cutlery. I was working there recently, but I quit because I felt it was a scam. You have to pay $146 for a sample kit of the cutlery to show it to customers. They didnt tell us this ahead of time, which is why I felt it was a scam. Later on that night I got online and looked it up, and sure enough there were sooooo many blogs and sites and petitions about this company. I just wanted to know does anyone else know about this. I heard they were sued 2 times.
There are more things that made me feel this was a scam but its too long to list here.
btw..the purpose of people getting jobs is because they have NO money, so how can they expect people to spend money they dont have?
