Bonds was never charged because it would have been bad for baseball. Home runs and the excitement of the record chase sold tickets and made MLB major cash. You can go all the way back to the McGwire/Sosa 62 HR chase…same deal, good baseball. They knew they were doing it as well as a lot of other people, they chose to turn their cheek to keep the cash flowing. That’s my opinion anyway. It is a mute point anyway, because Barry’s record will not stand as long as Aarons did. That asterik will be removed from the record books in several years.

Bonds bashing is now beyond ran it’s course.
