Stephen, most of the replica swords on the market are junk. If you just want something to hang on your wall then just find something that looks good, but if you have the slightest intention of swinging it around or learning to use it then you need to be very careful.

There are a number of reputable swordmakers currently producing functional swords (not to be confused with “battle ready” you see on web sites…that just means it’s sharp which is not a good thing for most of these). My first suggestion for a real sword will be Angus Trim or if you’re feeling upscale you could go for a Trim blade that has been mounted by Christian Fletcher or other companies.
