Chen Practical

Do you know your swords “Katana question” ?
I am looking for a good PRACTICAL katana to add to the weapons in my martial arts class. I was wondering about a couple of the cheaper ones? one was made by Masahiro and the other was a Paul Chen. I dont know anything about the cheaper brand names and Im really not wanting to get burned by buying a piece of junk that will fall apart if used. so what Im wondering is. Are these any good and do you know of any other brands that are? Im looking for cheaper brands and the sights to find and purchase them at.
Im not looking for wall hangers I need blades that you can accually use.
I may be able to help, if you contact me. I will need you to answer a few questions. Best not to buy anything until you know what it is you are looking for and what price range you can spend.
Edit: I have a Cheness Ko-Katana that I love. It is short, and light. It is well made. I paid around $225-235 for it. For the price it can’t be beaten. Bugei Trading sells even better swords but they cost more. For a decent, usable katana Cheness has a good selection.
