What to I do about chain mail letters to send on by email?

I just received a chain mail letter by email. It promised good luck if I sent it on and dire consequences if I don’t. I’m a bit superstitious so I sent it on although I think these things are unwelcome. What to do?

I delete them, and ask the person nicely not to send me any more, as I’m not going to send them on.

And I have had no bad luck as a result.
