How can I throw a pirates of the caribbean party?

I’m planning to have a pirates of the caribbean party on my birthday one month before Pirates of the Caribbean: on stranger tides comes out. I’m going to have a POTC marathon in the evening. I think that everyone at the party must wear pirate costumes or pirate looking clothes. I don’t want the party to be like a child party. What are some fun activities we could do? How should I decorate?
I’m 16 years old by the way.

What’s yer budget for decorating, love? You could go all out and buy lots of pirate props online, or just do it yourself and save. First, you must get yourself Hans Zimmer’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: Soundtrack Treasures Collection” CD set and play it in the background. Plunder your local party store for pirate decorations–netting, plastic ship’s wheel, fake palm trees, plastic gold coins. Search Craigslist for wooden barrels, treasure chests, and other nautical decor. Pillage BuyCostumes.com for the best costumes and pirate props (flags, pirate scene kit). Don’t forget to visit your local thrift store for possible props and clothing.

If it be games yer after, yar, you can have a talk-like-a-pirate contest, or write down a handful of piratical terms (bilge, scallawag, foremast, poop deck, booty) on cards, have a player draw a card, and use it in a sentence (while talking like a pirate, of course). Alas, no rum-drinking games for you, I’m afraid!
