how do i open a glass bottle that is sealed really tight?

ok so i have a bottle of olives and i wanna open it but i cant. ive tried running water over it, tapping the lid with a knife, and nothing works. any suggestions?

Try wearing a rubber Playtex cleaning glove. The rubber should give you a better grip and let you use more force, just like the grips they sell for this purpose.
