What causes a person to have a pain in their collar bone after moderate exercise for a fixed period of time?

I like to hunt, and I was walking in the woods for about 3/4 mile and noticed a pain in my collar bone that radiated to my neck, it did not feel like a muscle or joint pain, but it felt like it was in the bone itself or more internal of the bone structure. The pain goes away after catching my breath and a short rest. It doesn’t matter what type of aerobic exercise I do, the pain still occurs after a period of time.

I believe this has to do with lactic acid buildup, similar to if you were sprinting for awhile and your calves began to burn. Once the body removes the lactic acid, the pain goes away.
