Firefighter tactical knives?

I am trying to find a knife to carry with my turnout gear and I am trying to decide between a boker magnum and a gerber so I was wondering if anyone could help me with my decision or if anyone had any other comments.

I never carried a knife, usually there were a couple of guys who had pocket knives if we needed one.
I can’t imagine a use for a tactical knife?
A small axe works well for most things if you don’t need the big stuff.
