there was this one ep i saw on YT that ichigo is sorta in a nightmare controlled by a guy named Saiga…? and he uses ichigo’s mom to choke him and all… anyone know this episode?
This episode is from Season 9: The New Captain Shūsuke Amagai. It has episodes from 168-189 and is a filler arc. The episode you were describing is episode 178 “The Nightmare Which is Shown, Ichigo’s Inside the Mirror” .
