In dog grooming, will a comb attachment haircut harm a double coat like a regular blade can?

i have a pomeranian who we have shaved twice, and there is one spot that hasn’t grown back normally. hair is now cotton like wooly. will a comb attachment haircut do this same harm as the blade by itself did?

usually not. and not all dogs have a wierd reaction to a shave down, it’s only once in a great while that a dog will grow back funny and even shaving the same dog over and over, just one time, it may have a funny reaction with the regrowth.

over time, it may eventually grow back but yes, use a longer blade and it will have a greater chance at recovery. it is usually the 7, 10 and higher blade numbers that normally can get a wierd regrowth reaction.
