Finding Cheaper Car Insurance
If you drive a car on the roads in the UK, you are legally obliged to have car insurance. We cannot do without it and that means that some drivers still have their policy with the same car insurance company that they have always had, perhaps since passing their driving test at age seventeen or so.
Keeping your car insurance with one company could be a good idea in some respects. After all, you may well have built up a No Claims Bonus. Even if you haven’t, you can often get a discount for renewing your car insurance as they compete to stop you taking your business elsewhere. However, you should not take it for granted that your best idea is to stay with the same car insurance company.
Whatever your driving record or whatever car you drive, there are some steps you can take to get cheap car insurance quotes.
Shop around
You can definitely get some advantage from shopping around. The UK car insurance industry is incredibly competitive so there are often good deals to be had from insurance companies keen to lure your business away from your existing car insurance company. Your existing policy and cost of the quote should be quoted back to the old company to see if you can get a better deal.
Check out the insurance company
It can be a good idea to go with a well known company, because there have been stories of bad compnies selling cheap policies that never or rarely ever pay out. However, most are regulated and you will probably recognise the majority of names selling car insurance from banks to major TV brands such as Churchill and Direct Line.
Weigh up the excess and premiums
Whenever you make a claim on your car insurance, you will have to pay an ‘excess’ charge. For example, this could be the first £50 on a policy. However, it can be a double edged sword if you do not look at this carefully.
It is possible therefore that you can end up worse off. Think about it, most people don’t have many car accidents, so they can’t benefit from a low excess fee. But if they opt for a car insurance policy with a slightly higher excess fee, you can often lower your premium significantly.
Car insurance on multiple vehicles
If your household owns more than one vehicle, you can often lower your insurance costs by insuring several vehicles with one company.
Look at all of these ways to reduce the cost of your insurance for cars – a few minutes can save tens or hundreds of pounds of cost!

But its musical soundtrack does mark an auspicious occasion: pop musician-turned-composer Hans Zimmer’s 100th score since beginning his film career in 1988. A pioneer of fusing both th… |

Kill Bill: Volume One $3.78 Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, Vol. 1 is trash for connoisseurs. From his opening gambit (including a “Shaw-Scope” logo and gaudy ’70s-vintage “Our Feature Presentation” title card) to his cliffhanger finale (a teasing lead-in to 2004′s Vol. 2), Tarantino pays loving tribute to grindhouse cinema, specifically the Hong Kong action flicks and spaghetti Westerns that fill his fervent brain–and this … |
