Is opening an auto repair shop a good idea?
Im thinking of opening a shop in miami, i would like to know the procedures and if it is profitable

Most small businesses go bankrupt in a matter of years. My Dad owned a business for 14 years, and then went bankrupt. Being self employed is more time consuming, and has more of a risk then being an employee.

If this is something you have dreamed of doing, and really really want to, then go for it. Just make sure that you have your finances in order before you get into something you may not be able to get out of.
Also, since you are not a franchise, you would have to charge a lot more then the auto repair franchises. “High profit – lower volume”. The franchises do the opposite. “Low profit, high volume”.
