Non-US citizen in the army (US military). Citizenship and MOS question.?

According to navy.mil: “On July 3, President Bush signed an executive order that will expedite the naturalization of aliens and non-residents serving on active duty as of Sept. 11, 2001.” But, it does not say exactly (on average) how long it will take to get the citizenship. Do any of you know? Also, entering the army (or any other branch of the US military) as a Non-citizen, I will have a limited choice of MOS (jobs). This brings me to my second question: If I become a citizen within let’s say 1 year after joining; will I be able to get into another MOS? or How long does it take to re-class? Thank you very much

second, I know how this works:

you will become a citizen right away. You go through a process. I say sign a shorter active contract and reclass when youre in youre re-up window. that is halfway in. so if you sign for 4 years youre in your reup window at 2 yrs.

you can be smart and wait to deploy. go to iraq lets say, and then if you re-up, you can use the reclass option and choose a new mos. go for a high need mos and you will make a nice tax free bonus. its always better once youre in the army.

i say go army. we have more jobs, more opportunities.
