Questions about weapons issued in the Army?
When you are issued a weapon, does that weapon follow you around during your entire military career? Or do you have to return it to the armory every day after use and then will probably be given a different weapon the next day? If you switch units do you get issued a different one? And will you have to take off all your personal accessories when you turn in the weapon?
I ask because if you have to return your weapon and get a different one, what happens if the soldier before you used it and didn’t clean it or repair it?
Either way once you receive your weapon you should perform a PMCS on it and make sure its good to go. If you notice anything missing or uncleaned inform the Armorer. More than likely he will tell you, that you have to clean it anyway but he might switch you out.. But the biggest thing is that everything is there or you could be charged for something. Always check the functionality first much more important..
