Antique Knife

Antique Knife
What can I use to clean & polish antique knife blades?

I have several antique pocket knives that belonged to my grandfather and father. Now I want to clean them and pass them on to my grandchildren. I have a buffing wheel with a Makita grinder, but what compound should I use?

Jeweler’s rouge will brighten them. It is mildly abrassive. You could try Bartender’s Friend or Bon Ami, also low abrassive.

Roxanne [VHS]

Roxanne [VHS]

$0.88

In 1987, almost a hundred years after its first production, the romantic story of Cyrano de Bergerac found new life in a winsome film written by Steve Martin. Roxanne updates the tale with a smart ’80s spin, yet writer-star Martin stays close to the old-fashioned heart of the matter. He plays a small-town firefighter named C.D. Bales, whose otherwise unremarkable existence is crowned by an amazing…

Lara Croft Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life (Special Collector's Edition)

Lara Croft Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life (Special Collector’s Edition)

$1.59

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Cradle of Life is certainly better than its 2001 predecessor, but its appeal is mostly aimed at fans of the video games that inspired both movies. That pretty much leaves you with some fun but familiar action sequences, and the ever-alluring sight of Angelina Jolie (reprising her title role) as she swims, swings, kicks, shoots, flies, jet-skis, motorcycles, and free-fa…

The Matrix Revolutions (Two-Disc Widescreen Edition)

The Matrix Revolutions (Two-Disc Widescreen Edition)

$1.80

Despite the inevitable law of diminishing returns, The Matrix Revolutions is quite satisfying as an adrenalized action epic, marking yet another milestone in the exponential evolution of computer-generated special effects. That may not be enough to satisfy hardcore Matrix fans who turned the Wachowski Brothers’ hacker mythology into a quasi-religious pop-cultural phenomenon, but there’s no denying…
