For those who read the Bleach Manga, what happens to Zaraki Kenpachi?

I just saw ep 124 anime. For such a powerful captain it seems like a waste to not use him more often, especially against the arrancar. i know the manga is ahead ot the anime so is his character used in this story of the fight against the arrancar? Does he ever get a name for his sword?

Zaraki is indeed a formidable opponent but he’s not like the rest of them. He knows and understands the need to fight and he eagerly awaits his chance to fight to prove his existence. That’s why his sword’s been unreleased. His zanpaktou’s cries were never heard by Zaraki because he believes only in his own power. He scoffed at Ichigo for fighting together with Zangetsu. In this end, I doubt he’ll ever realize his sword’s name. He may realize it one day but not as of yet. However, if you ask me, I believe he will never be able to learn his sword’s name because of his constant abuse to it.

The main reason why they don’t let Zaraki into the Arrancar and the subsequent Inoue rescue arcs is because the Commander of Soul Society won’t let anyone else join Hitsugaya’s team. If you saw earlier episodes, Rukia was told to recruit a team to battle Aizen’s crew. Seeing as how all she could get were Renji, Hitsugaya and the rest, Zaraki was left behind to guard Soul Society from impending attack. I guess it was the best move for Soul Society to keep him there in case one of the more powerful Arrancar attacks.
