American Navajo

Culturally speaking would I still be considered Native American?
I’m 1/4 Native American, more specifically Navajo. I know that genetically, blood-wise, that I am Native American, but would Natives accept me as Native because I was thinking of enrolling into the tribe, but I am worried that they won’t accept me or that they will believe I’m just after benefits, and I’m not after anything, just after my ethnic identity is all. All I want is to be a part of what my grandfather was.
No real benefits… except money from the tribe maybe once in awhile. That whole story thing about native Americans getting monthly checks from the government isn’t real, so you wouldn’t really have to worry about the tribe thinking you are after something like that.
To enroll I believe you have to prove who your family is and show that you have 1/4 blood in you. Most tribes when you enroll it usually is 1/4 blood quantum to be accepted, some do have it lower than 1/4.
